The 'Heritage Cap' features the stunning Arbutus tree and is a representation of our time spent living, learning, and playing on the islands of the Pacific Northwest. The Arbutus only grows in a narrow band along the south coast and generally occurs within 8 kilometres of the ocean. It is often found on exposed rocky bluffs overlooking the ocean. It is also the only native broadleaf tree in Canada, and is the perfect symbol of the bountiful beauty that can only be found in our community.
